Baked Spaghetti
Ingredients
Lentils:
- 1 Pack Red Lentils
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Coriander Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 1/2 Teaspoons Cumin Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- Salt (to taste)
- Fresh Curry Leaves
- 1 Stick Cinnamon
- 2 Whole Mace
- 1 Star Anise
- 1 Black Cardamon
- 3 Green Cardamon
- Fresh Cilantro (optional)
Finishing Butter Aromatics:
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- Dried or Fresh Chillies (to taste)
- Fresh Garlic
- Fresh Ginger
Method
- 1. Wash lentils thoroughly, place in pot and add water to cover lentils.
- 2. Add Spices and Aromatics for the “lentils”
- 3. Bring to boil, then turn down to low/medium heat stirring occasionally, when fully cooked and lentils soft, set aside.
- 4. In a sauce pan, melt butter over low/medium heat, add in “butter aromatics”, sauté until fragrant and tender.
- 5. Pour the butter aromatics over lentils, and stir.
- 6. Finish with fresh cilantro and serve with Rice, Roti or Paratha.
